About "How's the Family?"
Host: Nanci Olesen
Nanci Olesen is an independent radio producer whose commentaries are heard on Minnesota Public Radio. She has produced pieces for Weekend America, Public Radio International, Marketplace, and her own web-based radio production, MOMbo. Olesen worked as an actor, waitress, and canoeist before turning her talents toward radio and motherhood. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and three children.

Producer: Sasha Aslanian
Sasha Aslanian is a documentary producer for American RadioWorks. She's produced stories on international adoption, maternal depression, children's brain development and losing a brother to terrorism. She believes families are an inexhaustible source of stories and helped launch "How's the Family?" to create a place to savor them.

Assistant Producer: Sarah Lemanczyk
Sarah Lemanczyk left the lucrative world of the theatre for the glamour of public radio and never looked back. She was an associate producer for Satellite Sisters and has helped produce several pilots for Public Radio International. She currently works as an independent producer, filing for shows such as: On The Media, Marketplace, The World, and Weekend America. slemanczyk@mpr.org

Executive Producer: Jim Russell
Jim Russell has created successful national programs for all three public radio networks: NPR, PRI and APM, as well as for PBS-TV. His experience encompasses more than thirty years-- in commercial radio, print, public radio, and television. Programs he has invented include Marketplace and Weekend America and public tv's Newton's Apple, NightTimes, Electronicle and America After Vietnam. He also helped develop NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered, and PRI's The World. jim@programdoctor.com

"How's the Family?" is a pilot program, funded by Minnesota Public Radio from January through May, 2007.

How's the Family? is in its pilot phase, and will be broadcast on MPR News stations the last two Fridays in May.

Episode 1 airs May 18th at 2 p.m. and June 17th at 6 p.m.

Episode 2 airs May 25th at 2 p.m. and May 27th at 6 p.m.
