Candidate Positions on Stem cell research

Question: Should federal funding be used to expand embryonic stem cell research?
John KlineJohn Kline ANSWER OPTION: No, I do not support federal funding for stem cell reserach.
CANDIDATE'S POSITION: On October 8, 2006 the Star Tribune reported that Rep. John Kline and fellow republican Michele Bachmann opposed federal funding of research on new stem cell lines. Kline also voted NO on legislation expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (More Info)

Steve SarviSteve Sarvi ANSWER OPTION: I support it with ethical guidelines, such as not creating embryos specifically for the purpose of research.
CANDIDATE'S POSITION: The promise of stem cell research to lead to cures for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other diseases that steal our loved ones away too soon is too great for us to turn our backs on.
