From Lynne Warfel, Host of Classical Music

"My Funny Valentine"

My fave of all time is the standard "My Funny Valentine". I particularly love the interpretation by Frank Sinatra... but also Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan.

The lyrics are so wonderfully wistful yet a realistic picture of an intimate relationship, "Is your figure less than Greek... is your mouth a little weak? When you open it to speak... are you smart?" THE assumed answer being in the negative, but, honey, I love you anyhow!

True love in lyrics!
