Omar Gallaga, who covers technology culture for the Austin American-Statesman, says online dating coaches are part of a growth industry.
He says people pay one coach in Los Angeles between $2,000 and $3,000 to coach them on online dating, which buys them four-six weeks of the coach's service.
Some of the coach's advice: avoid clichés and adjectives, choose the right Web site, create a witty username, and have a good headline and a professional-looking photograph.
