GM Announces More Cuts

General Motors Chairman Rick Wagoner has said thousands of white-collar staff would be laid off and the company would stop providing health benefits to retirees over age 65.

The company also plans to cut truck production, borrow billions and sell some assets.

GM says the moves will help it raise $15 billion.
