China, the world's fastest growing economy, grew at a stunning 11.5 percent in the third quarter, according to newly released government data. By comparison, the U.S. economy is expected to grow 2 percent this year. Officials are actually trying to spur a slowdown in China. It has been under pressure from the U.S., and from its own investors, to contain excesses. In recent weeks, Chinese officials have repeatedly promised they are trying to cool off the economy.
