Blackwater's Version of Iraq Attack Disputed

from National Public Radio
October 3, 2007

James Glanz, New York Times Baghdad bureau chief, has been reporting on the September incident involving a convoy of Blackwater USA personnel who are accused of the unprovoked shooting of Iraqi civilians.

The Times spoke with a dozen witnesses and with Iraqi investigators, who dispute the version of events given by Blackwater.

The Times also reports that there was a second incident the same day, possibly involving the same Blackwater convoy, in which more Iraqis were shot.

Glanz talks with Robert Siegel.
