Russia Proposes Stopping Daylight Saving Time

As the U.S. gets ready to move clocks back this weekend, Russians already went through the transition a week ago. The transition to earlier nightfall is especially painful in a place already bracing for the frigid winter. So painful, in fact, President Dmitri Medvedev is threatening to end daylight saving in Russia altogether. Don't believe him? He already abolished two entire time zones this year.
