Violence Escalates On Streets Of Bangkok

Thai troops fired bullets and tear gas at anti-government protesters rioting in Bangkok's city center today as an army effort to clear streets sparked clashes that have killed two and turned the capital into an urban war zone. In the late afternoon, the question became just when the military would move in on the red-shirted protesters camp, where one of their top leaders was shot the day before.
