Snow Banks Can Mean Big Money, Or Losses

This week's terrible weather has had a big economic impact on state and local budgets as well as on tourism in the mid-Atlantic region. Maryland already is millions of dollars over its allotted snow budget. The private sector has many losers too. But while some travelers canceled hotel reservations, their rooms were rented to area residents who had to get to work, or were without power.
