Fed Up Villagers In India To Build Their Own Road

Residents living outside a provincial capital in India have been waiting 20 years for the government to build a critical road to the main city. Government officials have blamed lack of funds since the project was announced in 1989. The French news agency AFP reports that about 750 men and women from seven villages have taken up spades and axes, and are building the road themselves.
