Blast Near Mosque Kills Dozens in Baghdad

A car bomb explodes near a Shiite mosque in central Baghdad, killing at least 78. The blast coincides with the launch of a new operation against al-Qaida in Diyala province. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is condemning the attack while making a plea for national unity.
