Battle Likely Over Jackson Will

from National Public Radio
July 1, 2009

Pop icon Michael Jackson's will filed Wednesday in a Los Angeles court gave his estate to the Michael Jackson Family Trust.

Stevenson Jacobs, a business writer for The Associated Press, says recent documents show Jackson was worth about $235 million as of March 31, 2007. But, Jacobs tells Melissa Block, a lot has changed since then.

"His finances, as everybody knows, were not in the best of shape, so it's not clear how solid a financial footing he's on right now, and obviously that's going to come up in the battle over his estate," he says.
