from National Public Radio

Bank of New York Mellon was among the financial institutions that passed the government's stress tests Thursday.

Bob Kelly, CEO and president, says overall the tests were good, but tough.

"When I stepped back and looked at all the results yesterday, and I thought about the process we went through over the last couple of months, I would say they were pretty tough," Kelly says. "I thought they were comprehensive and I thought the government was pretty transparent with the results."
