A Capitol Photographer

Tom Olmscheid has been the official photographer of the Minnesota House of Representatives since 1977. From the majestic dome to mundane committee hearings, he has photographed the building -- and its occupants -- in every light you can imagine. His photos so often capture a surprising beauty in the place, and a surprising degree of humanity in the politicians.
