Remembering the "forgotten war"
Fifty-five years ago Monday, President Harry S. Truman ordered the U.S. military to come to the aid of South Korea, which was fighting an invasion from the North. It was the start of the Korean War, and nearly 37,000 American troops would perish in the conflict. American RadioWorks' 2003 documentary "Korea: The Unfinished War" tells the story of the conflict that helped define American life and global politics for the second half of the 20th Century.
