St. Paul, Minn. — Classical MPR's Julie Amacher got the chance to sit down and talk with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, who is currently starring in the Met Opera's production of Rossini's La Cenerentola (Cinderella).

This is the last time DiDonato will take on the role — one she has enjoyed for 17 years now — and she shared a few thoughts about the opera and about the current production at the Met.

You can hear the interview by clicking the play button for the audio above. At right, listen to bonus audio where DiDonato talks about her background and her career.

Listen to the Met Opera's production of La Cenerentola on Saturday, May 10, at 12 noon, on Classical MPR.
