St. Paul, Minn. — Every weekday at 10 a.m., the hosts at Classical MPR play a standout work based on the theme for the week. We call these works Morning Glories.

On this week's Morning Glories, we'll take a look at some performers and repertoire coming to our region in the next few weeks.

Fauré: Violin Sonata No. 1
The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra welcomes violinist Chee-Yun in mid-April.

Grieg: Haugtussa
Trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth comes to Minneapolis next week, under the auspices of the Grieg Society.

Adam: Suite from Giselle
This classic ballet will re-open Northrop Auditorium and will be performed by the American Ballet Theatre.

Janacek: Suite from The Cunning Little Vixen
Next month, the University of Minnesota Opera Theatre stages Janacek's opera, a celebration of the world of nature.

Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto
Violinist Midori appears in recital at the Paramount Theatre in St. Cloud, Minn., on April 15.
