ST. PAUL, Minn. — Where Are They Now? spotlights Minnesota Varsity Featured and Showcase Artists from 2011, 2012 and 2013. David Nelson from Woodbury, Minn., was a Minnesota Varsity 2013 Featured Artist. He recently got in touch with Classical MPR's Christine Sweet to share what he's doing now.

David Nelson, 2013 Featured Artist

Age: 18

From: Woodbury, Minn.

Attends: Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minn.

My life has only changed for the better. I've hit the road running in St. Peter and have already joined three musical ensembles as well as taking a full load of credits. It's fantastic! I'm planning on double-majoring in Music and Mathematics, hopefully with a life of performing ahead of me.

My favorite part of being in Minnesota Varsity was getting to go into a professional recording studio and record a song, all by myself [having been a member of Minnesota Boychoir since age 7]!
