ST. PAUL, Minn. — Maddie Wild Crea is a writer of stories and a volunteer at Arc Value Village and St Anthony Park Nursing Home. Her joy in helping others is reflected in a playlist that is Beethoven-centered.

Maddie seeks beauty where ever she looks and finds solace in the classical music that inspires her.

Mozart: Symphony No. 40: Movement 1 (Molto Allegro) with the SPCO led by Douglas Boyd (live concert recording by MPR)

Traditional: Greensleeves (arr: Bob Chilcott) sung by the King's Singers Signum Classics 121

Beethoven: Symphony No. 5: Movement 1 (Allegro con Brio) with the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela conducted by Gustavo Dudamel DG 17097

Next week: John Waddell is a Twin Cities luthier who has made violins and other string instruments with patience and dedication. His playlist is filled with rare instruments.
