ST. PAUL, Minn. — This week's spotlight film is the first Harry Potter movie, which features a score by John Williams. As we're marking back-to-school month, what better school to imagine attending than Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?

Depending on where you live, the first book and film in the Harry Potter series is entitled either Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone — author JK Rowling's original title, derived from mythology and the writings of Nicolas Flamel — or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, a title developed specifically for U.S. audiences by the marketing department at Scholastic, Inc., before Rowling had established herself as a writer.

Whatever you call it, the film's score remains consistent. Williams's iconic Hedwig's Theme is heard during the opening sequence of each Potter film.
