Isabel Leonard: A mezzo with the Metropolitan and the Muppets

by John Birge, Minnesota Public Radio
June 6, 2013

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Yes, she can tell you how to get to Sesame Street! And as she tells John Birge in this interview, Isabel Leonard moved heaven and earth to get there. After all, very few artists are honored with an invitation to perform on the classic kid's show. And as you can see in the video, she had a blast. Then it was back to her opera career, which is going from strength to strength, and from New York to Vienna to Paris, with a stop in Minnesota for concerts this weekend with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.
