ST. PAUL, Minn. — A star long before he was paired on screen with Katharine Hepburn, Tracy's now legendary quote about the art of acting says it all: "Know your lines and don't run into the furniture."

He made it look easy. From "Captains Courageous" to "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner", Tracy was known as the consummate professional on the set, and his off-screen relationship with Hepburn was Hollywood's best known secret.
