New York's Bloomberg pours money into Chicago race, gun control battle

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, through his political action committee Independence USA, has put more than $2 million in political ads into an effort to make gun control an issue in the special election to replace former Illinois congressman Jesse Jackson Jr.

Some political pundits see this as the first major electoral test for gun control advocates since the Newtown school shooting.
