2 dead in S. Minn. were father and son
by Rupa Shenoy, Minnesota Public RadioST. PAUL, Minn. — Investigators in a death and subsequent fatal chase on Friday in southern Minnesota have identified the two dead as father and son.
The Southern Minnesota Regional Coroner's Office said Saturday that 86-year-old Dennis Seberson died of blunt force trauma at his home in Austin.
A statement from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Seberson's son, Craig Seberson, 46, of Meservey, Iowa, died from injuries in a car crash.
The BCA says he led law enforcement on a chase for 50 miles before the crash. The statement said Craig Seberson is considered a suspect in the death of his father.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Austin Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol were investigating.
