Former Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner has front row seat to history. Gaertner is part of a team of lawyers that's been chosen by the American Bar Association and the Department of Defense to monitor the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to determine whether he is able to receive a fair trial.

The proceedings reconvened this week for a second session of pre-trial motions. According to WNYC, "Legal experts do not expect the actual trial to begin before some time next year."

Gaertner joins The Daily Circuit, Thursday, Jan. 31 to discuss her experience so far.
