Q & A: Miami's superintendent on education issues in Fla. and Minn.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The country's fourth-largest district, Miami-Dade, is the recipient the 2012 Broad Prize for Urban Education, cited for its work on closing the racial achievement gap, and increasing graduations rates.

Miami-Dade School District Superintendent Alberto Carvalho spoke earlier Wednesday at the United Way's Education Forum on the State of Education in Minnesota, and he joins MPR's Tom Crann on All Things Considered.
