Book pick: 'Canada' by Richard Ford

Kerri's book Pick of the Week is Richard Ford's "Canada." She says the book is about "a family on the precipice of a dramatic change." Kirkus Reviews rave compares the novel to The Heart of Darkness and Great Gatsby.

Here's the first attention-grabbing sentence of the novel: "First, I'll tell about the robbery our parents committed. Then about the murders, which happened later."
