Kerri's book Pick of the Week is Jonis Agee's 2007 novel, "The River Wife." The story is set in rural Missouri and follows three generations of the Ducharme family. Kirkus Review calls it a "violence-spiked romance upon violence-spiked romance."

Kerri's take: "The tales are told in parallel. I don't think I've ever read anything like it. It's cool."
