ProPublica on Minnesota's 'Grandma Brigade'by Steven John, Minnesota Public Radio
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Lois Beckett, reporter for the national investigative journalism organization ProPublica, discusses with MPR News a report into an aspect of grassroots politicking in Minnesota.
The piece features a group of DFL volunteers that have labeled themselves as the "Grandma Brigade." And, these mostly middle-age to older women are taking political notes on their neighbors to try to get a leg up on Republicans nationwide.
The effort is feeding up to the national Democratic Party.
