Melisa Franzen joins the Minnesota Senate

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Every new session brings with it fresh faces. Among the new lawmakers this year is State Sen.-elect Melisa Franzen, a DFLer who beat out former state Rep. Keith Downey in a district in Edina that's traditionally a GOP stronghold. Franzen tells Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer that she's eager to get started.
