Today, a visit with Aria Stiles: 2012 Showcase Artist Age: 18 Hometown: Apple Valley, Minn. Student at: Belmont University, Nashville, Tenn.
"Since Spring 2012, I have completely changed states, weather, and styles of music. I played Classical violin all my life. Now I am playing more jazz, fiddling, Irish, and improv styles as a Belmont University student majoring in Commercial Violin.
I hope eventually to be in a touring country band. Goals would be Kip Moore, Tim McGraw, or Zac Brown Band.
I loved participating in Minnesota Varsity. Going into the studio and recording was a great experience. Then winning the encore vote at the Fitzgerald Theater and playing fiddle tunes with my brother was so much fun. The whole experience provided a well rounded opportunity that I hope to see continued for future high schoolers."
