ST. PAUL, Minn. — Ray Shows of the Artaria Quartet teaches at St Olaf College, where, from a November 2012 recital, he performs the Mozart, Violin Sonata in E Minor with pianist John Jensen. It's a stern sounding work that at the same time conveys a tender depth of feeling. His performance is the first Regional Spotlight of the new year.
