Are U of Minn. tuition rates unfair to in-state students?

The University of Minnesota dropped its nonresident tuition four years ago and now it's the cheapest school in the Big Ten for out-of-state students.

University President Eric Kaler told the Star Tribune that "it's probably -- certainly -- time to look carefully at where we are in that out-of-state price point and whether we should grow that."

Robert McMaster, vice provost and dean of undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota, will join The Daily Circuit Thursday, Dec. 3 to weigh in on tuition costs.
