Taste of the Holidays, Vol III

December 19, 2012

ST. PAUL, Minn. — "There's no place like home," especially when it comes to the holiday season. Taste of the Holidays showcases choral and instrumental groups from right in our own backyard. The season comes alive with recordings which were made in the intimacy and spirit of live performances, performances from a variety of venues in the twin cities and beyond.

Steve Staruch hosts the show that features much of the Classical MPR disc, Taste of the Holiday's Vol 3. You'll hear both playful pieces and contemplative works in an hour long program that will make the holiday season that much brighter, that much warmer.

The Artaria Quartet, the National Lutheran Choir, Kantorei, Bella Voce Young Women's Chorus and pianist Lynn Trapp are among the performers that will have you reaching for a second serving of mulled wine. Celebrate Taste of the Holidays Wednesday, December 19 at 6 p.m. at Classical MPR.
