ST. PAUL, Minn. — The CEO of a Minneapolis-based bus company will become the next commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation in January.
On Wednesday, Gov. Mark Dayton appointed Charlie Zelle to that job. He helped turn Jefferson Bus Lines around in the 1980s.
Zelle will cease overseeing the daily operations of the bus company when he becomes commissioner. He talked with Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer about his transportation priorities.
