Book pick: 'Nothing Gold Can Stay' by Ron Rash

11:55 AM, December 11, 2012

Kerri's book Pick of the Week is Ron Rash's upcoming collection of short stories, "Nothing Gold Can Stay." Kerri calls it "mesmerizing."

The Publishers Weekly review says that "although too many of the stories rely on the same basic dynamic, Rash impresses with clear-eyed, sympathetic writing about flawed and troubled characters."

The book doesn't come out until February 2013, but you can catch up on Rash's past bestsellers, "Serena" and "The Cove," the latter of which ended up on some year-end best books lists.
