Book pick: 'Code Name Verity' by Elizabeth Wein

9:55 AM, December 4, 2012

Kerri's Pick of the Week book is "Code Name Verity" by Elizabeth Wein. Kerri heard librarian Nancy Pearl rave about it on NPR's Morning Edition.

Pearl called it "an intensely moving novel for teens (although I suspect that adults will also enjoy it). It's one of those novels that are especially hard to talk about because it's vital to a reader's enjoyment not to give anything about the story away in a description or review."

The book ended up in the Publisher's Weekly and New York Times best of 2012 lists.
