Target says it did not use Bangladesh factory in fire

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Target says it was not among the customers of a Bangladesh clothing factory where a fire killed 112 people this past weekend.

Labels found at the factory indicate the facility was supplying Walmart, Sears, Disney and other major global retailers.

A Target spokeswoman said the company had no known production at the factory. Target says it will not knowingly work with any company that does not comply with Target's ethical standards, and business partners must provide safe and healthy workplaces that comply with local laws.
