Classical MPR presents The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Classical Minnesota Public Radio is thrilled to bring The Mormon Tabernacle Choir to The Target Center in the summer of 2013.

Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. will be the first time the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has been to Minnesota in over 20 years and the last stop on their 2013 Midwest tour.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir will perform a broad range of music during its 2013 tour. Selections will be drawn from the Choir's vast repertoire which ranges from Bach to Broadway. The concert will feature choral masterworks, American folk music, hymns, music from around the world and patriotic music. Several of the Choir's signature pieces, including "Battle Hymn of the Republic" for which it won a Grammy Award, will be included on the program.

Sixty-five members of the Orchestra at Temple Square will also accompany the Choir on tour for a wonderful musical performance.

Tickets

MPR members can purchase tickets starting Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10 a.m.

MPR Members will receive a passcode in an email allowing them to purchase tickets before the general public. If you did not receive your code by 11 a.m. tomorrow, please contact Member Benefits Services.

There is an 8 ticket limit.

The general public can purchase at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012.

Ticket Prices: $27, $41, $61, $81 plus fees.

UPDATE: MPR is offering motor coach tour packages originating in Duluth and Rochester.
