Boy in critical condition after struck by truck

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The State Patrol said Monday that a 13-year-old boy from Winthrop is in critical condition after being struck by a truck.

The State Patrol says Jacob Weber was riding his bike Saturday afternoon with several other kids northbound on Highway 15 near his home. Weber turned his bike in front of a semi tractor approaching the group from behind and was hit by the truck. He was airlifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center. The State Patrol's website lists him in critical condition.

Earlier Monday, the State Patrol erroneously reported that Weber had died.
