Morning Glories - Autumn
September 17, 2012
St. Paul, Minn. —
Every weekday morning at 10 a.m., the hosts at Classical MPR play a stand-out work based on the theme for the week. We call them Morning Glories. Fall is coming (the actual equinox is on Saturday, Sep. 22), so this week we're playing seasonal pieces: Vivaldi's "Autumn," and some others that may not be as familiar.
Monday
Vivaldi:
Autumn, from
the Four Seasons
Tuesday
Johann Strauss II:
Harvest Dances Waltz
Jean Berger:
Harvester's Song
Wednesday
Peter Lange-Müller:

Thursday
Kenneth Fuchs:

Friday
Grieg: In Autumn
Stephen Reynolds:
Homage to Faure (Chanson d'Automne)
