Conscience and Courage in Public Life

On Tuesday, September 11, Brokaw delivered the sixth annual Eugene J. McCarthy Lecture at St. John's University.

A native of Webster, South Dakota, Brokaw graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of South Dakota.

Brokaw is also the author of six books, including "The Greatest Generation," and most recently, "The Time of Our Lives."
