Krista Tippett, host of public radio show On Being, is starting a series of public discussions on contentious issues in American civic discourse. The discussions, moderated by Tippett for the Civil Conversations Project, will represent people with opposing views, but who have managed to find common ground.
The conversations started this week and include the following: "The Next Christians," "Pro Life, Pro Choice, Pro Dialogue," "Political Bridge People," and "The Future of Marriage."
Tippett joins The Daily Circuit Thursday to discuss the project and talk about what she wants to accomplish with these conversations.
