The politics behind health care exchanges
St. Paul, Minn. — The political divide over Minnesota's health exchange mirrors the deep partisan divisions over the Affordable Care Act nationally. The Obama administration's signature achievement remains as controversial as ever.
Minnesota needs to create its own plan for how the exchanges will be implemented here; otherwise, by default, the federal plan goes into affect in January of 2014.
Joining MPR's Cathy Wurzer to discuss the politics behind health care exchanges is professor Larry Jacobs from the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
