Farm Bill remains stalled in Congress

Senators and representatives are likely getting asked about the farm bill as they meet constituents this August recess. Both the House and Senate passed their versions before leaving town but still have a long way to go to passing a final version before they adjourn for the year.

What needs to be resolved to ensure passage? What are the regional aspects to negotiations and what should we expect in a compromise? Vincent H. Smith, professor of economics at Montana State University and visiting scholar at American Enterprise Institute, will join The Daily Circuit Wednesday to give us an update.
