MOA worker hurt in electrical accident
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) -- The power went out to about a dozen stores at the Mall of America after an electrical accident injured a mall worker.
Mall of America spokesman Dan Jasper says the electrician was treated at the scene Sunday, then taken to a hospital with electrical burns. He didn't know the full extent of the employee's injuries, but says he was conscious and alert.
The lights and cash registers in about a dozen stores on the mall's west side went out. A crew was on site to restore power.
The mall's west side is flanked by Macy's and Nordstrom, but Jasper says those two department stores were not affected.
