St. Paul, Minn. — It is a study in contrasts: fast/slow, bright/dark and complexity/simplicity. The Overture from the Partita in b minor by J.S. Bach is on display in this week's Regional Spotlight. Still fresh from her gold medal performance in the 2010 Frederic Chopin International Piano Competition, Yulianna Avdeeva performed the Bach in a Frederic Chopin Society recital this past May.
