DNR: Warm weather is stressing fish in Minnesota lakes

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The hot weather this summer is having a big impact on the lakes in our region. As water temperatures rise, the ecology of the lakes will change and species like Northern Pike, that don't do well in warm water, are stressed.
Don Pereira is the Fisheries Research Policy Manager for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. He talked about how the warm weather is affecting fish in Minnesota lakes with Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer.
