Book pick: 'Cutting for Stone' by Abraham Verghese

Kerri Miller's book Pick of the Week is "Cutting for Stone" by physician Abraham Verghese. Publisher's Weekly called it "a magnificent, sweeping novel that moves from India to Ethiopia to an inner-city hospital in New York City over decades and generations."

The book is not just popular with Miller. It has been a consistent bestseller since it came out three years ago.
